Ninh Binh province will host an exhibition featuring Vietnam's cultural and landscape heritage and traditional handicraft products from December 17-24.

To carry out the One Commune- One Product (OCOP) programme, Ninh Binh province soon approved a project to define each region with one safe and high-quality product for the 2018-2020 period. After three years of implementation, the programme has seen as a suitable solution for developing agricultural products, handicraft products, services and tourism of each region, thus contributing to restructuring the rural economy towards high added value.

The northern province of Ninh Binh has for years implemented a plan to develop and expand its traditional handicraft villages, especially six famous craft villages to serve tourism needs and preserve traditional crafts.

The domestic sector has lost the local and export forestry markets to the foreign sector, Huynh Van Hanh, general director of the Handicraft and Wood Industry Association of Ho Chi Minh City has said.

Ninh Binh's exports have increased annually in recent years with great contribution from handicraft items.
