Ninh Binh province is lucky enough have been endowed with the culture heritage of an ancient thousand-year-old capital.

According to the statistics of Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, there are 76 traditional festivals in the province. Two of them are under the provincial management; 21 are under the district management and 53 are managed by the communes.
