President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin arrived in Hanoi on November 12 for a state-level visit to Vietnam at the invitation of President Truong Tan Sang.
During the one-day visit, Putin is scheduled to hold talks with his Vietnamese counterpart and meet Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung.
He will also attend the opening ceremony of the Russian Culture Days. The visit, Putin's third to Vietnam, is expected to further promote the comprehensive strategic partnership and mutual understanding between the two countries as well as their collaboration at regional and international forums.
