Public Security Minister Quang meets Ninh Binh voters

Quynh Luu is a famous resistance base during the early days of the national revolution. The first Party Committee in Ninh Binh province was established in Quynh Luu in late 1929. During the resistance wars and national construction, Quynh Luu was always a strong resistance base, providing manpower and materials for the victory of the national revolutionary cause.

By the end of 2014, Quynh Luu had achieved 14 out of 19 set criteria for new-style rural area construction; 80% of the remaining five basic criteria have been completed. The communal Party Committee aims to reduce the poverty rate to below 3% to fulfill new rural area construction criteria by this July.

At the meeting, Quynh Luu voters suggested authorities of the State and province of Ninh Binh increase support for the locality in order to turn Quynh Luu into a new-style rural model in 2015, while sustaining local socio-economic development.

Minister Quang urged the commune to promote internal resources for socio-economic development and environment preservation towards ensuring sustainable livelihoods for locals.

He added that Quynh Luu should implement relevant synchronous measures to attract more resources to develop towards a modern rural area combined with successful implementation of the 2015-2020 socio-economic development objectives. Meanwhile, Party building work should also be strengthened in line with building a strong and upright local government, strengthening the political system, and preserving social order and safety, the minister stressed.

In regards to recommendations proposed by local voters, General Quang committed to co-operate with Ninh Binh's NA deputy delegation to further study and propose to the NA and Government for settlement.

On the occasion, Minister Quang presented gifts to local revolutionary contributors while offering 15 computers and 1,000 tonnes of cement to the commune in order to upgrade local infrastructure.

Earlier the same day, General Quang and local authorities inaugurated Thong Nhat (Reunification) bridge in Phat Diem town and presented 1,000 helmets to students in Quang Thien Commune Primary and Secondary schools in Kim Son district.
