Provincial's leaders joint tree planting festival in localities

The northern province of Ninh Binh plans to grow 1.2 million trees and 140 ha forests in 2022 in response to the Prime Minister's call for 1 billion new trees in the 2021-2025 period. A ceremony to launch the tree-planting campaign was held at the Con Noi Alluvial ground in the coastal district of Kim Son on February 7 on the occasion of Tet (Lunar New Year) festival.

Secretary of Ninh binh provincial party organisation Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Chairman of provincial people's Council Tran Hong Quang, Chairman of provincial people's Committee Pham Quang Ngoc among others attended the tree planting festival.
At the event, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Pham Quang Ngoc said that following late President Ho Chi Minh's teachings, the tree planting festival held every spring has become a tradition around the country over the last 60 years and more.

Ngoc called on all-level authorities, sectors, agencies, economic organisations, armed forces, and people in Ninh Binh to support the programme on planting one billion trees and to step up afforestation and forest protection.
The province is set to grow 1.2 million trees abd 140 ha forests this year.
The northern province is looking to have an additional 5.5 million trees and 200 ha of forest in the 2021-2025 period, Ngoc said.
Similar activities took place in 8 cities, districts in the province on same day.
