
The opening ceremony saw the attendance of member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Doan Minh Huan; Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Council Mai Van Tuat and Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Pham Quang Ngoc.
Opening the session, Chairman of the provincial People's Council Mai Van Tuat said that the session will give consider reports of the provincial People's Committee and sectors, review recorded outcomes in the fields of economy, social affairs, defence - security; and the direction and implementation of solutions of the provincial People's Council. It will also define tasks and specific solutions in an attempt to achieve the socio-economic targets set for the year.
In his remarks, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Doan Minh Huan spoke highly of the province's outcomes in socio-economic development in the first half of 2023.
Huan asked the provincial People's Council to focus discussions on the positive outcomes and shortcomings in socio-economic development in the first six months of 2023 so as to devise orientations and solutions to achieve goals for the remaining months of the year.
Huan noted that policies, regulations and resolutions that will be approved at the session must be practical, transparent and effective, thereby bringing about practical interests to local people and voters.
The official also asked the provincial People's Committee, the Standing Board of the provincial People's Council and other agencies promptly deploy the resolution of the session.
The session is scheduled to last for three days.
