Provincial People's Committee convenes regular meeting

Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Pham Quang Ngoc chaired the meeting. 

In the first quarter, the province's production grew in accordance with the set scenario. Ninh Binh's GRDP expanded by 2.62 percent in Q1 against same period last year. Its industrial production reached 22.19 trillion VND (up 1.4 percent year on year) while agricultural production was estimated at 1.75 trillion VND (up 1.1 percent). New-style rural area building has been received attention.

The tourism sector has gradually revitalized thanks to the province's decision to reopening tourist sites from February 1, 2022. Ninh Binh welcomed nearly 655,000 visitors in the first three months, up 8 percent as compared to the same period last year.

The province's total budget collection reached nearly 5.53 trillion VND, equivalent to 27.6 percent of this year's estimate while total development investment capital was 6.38 trillion VND, an increase of 7 percent.

Concluding the meeting, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Pham Quang Ngoc asked departments, agencies and localities to strictly implement the focal tasks set for the second quarter, such as continuing COVID-19 prevention and control; implementing socio-economic development solutions; attracting investment and supporting local firms; and speeding up public capital disbursement.

The province will also strive to successfully organise culture and sport events such as Hoa Lu Festival 2022, competitions of SEA Games 31 and Tourism Week "Yellow Colour of Tam Coc - Trang An", he said.
