Representatives of the Ninh Binh provincial party committee, Peoples Council, Peoples Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Ninh Binh Committee laid wreaths and offered incense to commemorate heroic martyrs at the Ho Chi Minh memorial temple and provincial Martyrs Cemetery in Dong Thanh ward and Hoa Lu district on September 1 on the occasion of the 76th National Day (September 2, 1945-2020).
The delegation comprised Ninh Binh party chief Nguyen Thi Thu Ha; Chairman of Ninh Binh peoples Council Tran Hong Quang and Chairman of the provincial peoples committee Pham Quang Ngoc among others.
They expressed gratitude and respect to President Ho Chi Minh who made great contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and people of Vietnam and devoted his whole life for the nation.
On September 2, 1945 at Ba Dinh Square in Hanoi, President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, declaring to the world the foundation of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
Currently, the whole Party, military and people are implementing the movement of studying and following the moral example and lifestyle of President Ho Chi Minh.
The delegates spent solemn minutes to commemorate and expressed their deep gratitude to war heroes and martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the national independence.
In front of the hallowed memorial to the heroic martyrs, the leaders vowed to continue to uphold their consensus and solidarity, and do their utmost to make Ninh Binh even more civilised and prosperous in the years ahead.
