Provincial leaders attend "Tree planting festival" and inauguration of Dong Giao road, East-West road's section

Attending the event were member of the Party Central committee, Secretary of provincial party Committee Doan Minh Huan, Chairman of the provincial People's Council Mai Van Tuat, and Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Pham Quang Ngoc, among others.

The East-West road project has a total length of 22.95 kilometers with total investment capital of over 1.91 trillion VND. It is designed to have four lanes while the section connecting the starting point with the intersection of the North-South expressway will have eight lanes.

The project was commenced to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Ninh Binh's appellation (1822-2022) and the 30th anniversary of its re-establishment.

After two years of construction, a large workload has been completed and 1,64 kilometers of road connecting to North-South expressway has been finished and put into operation.

The Dong Giao road, which has total length of nearly 1.1 kilometers connecting Tam Diep city and the East-West road was also completed.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Pham Quang Ngoc stressed that the inauguration of the Dong Giao road, and the section connecting the starting point with the intersection of the North-South expressway play a critical significance and create a direct connection between the province's southern transport system to the national one, thereby providing opportunities for investment attraction, urban development, and the growth of industry, service and tourism sectors.

Also at the event, the provincial leaders planted trees in response to the tree planting festival and cut the ribbon to inaugurate the Dong Giao road, and the section connecting the starting point with the intersection of the North-South expressway.
