Provincial leader inspects progress of infrastructure projects

They include sub-projects to build Cao Bo - Mai Son section and Mai Son - National Highway 45 section of the North - South Expressway; a housing project for workers in Gian Khau Industrial Park (Gia Vien district); a project to construct Bai Dinh - Ba Sao road section running through Ninh Binh.

The site clearance for the two sub-projects of the North - South Expressway has been almost completed. There remained bottlenecks at several locations in Khanh Van commune (Yen Khanh district); Ninh Van commune (Hoa Lu district); and Tan Binh ward (Tam Diep city). 

Some affected households have not given their revoked land to the contractors though they had already agreed to receive compensation money.

As for the housing project for workers in the Gian Khau IP, over 80 percent of the construction workload has been completed. Internal roads' surface has been built, and auxiliary infrastructure are being installed. The site clearance has been basically completed.

The Bai Dinh - Ba Sao road section running has a total length of 17,6 km, running through six communes and one town of Gia Vien district. The site clearance for the project has been almost completed.

Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Cao Son spoke highly of localities' efforts in speeding up the site clearance as scheduled, thus providing favorable condition for the contractors to implement the projects. 

However, there remained hindrances in site clearance in some localities, he said, urging administrations at all levels, sectors, and businesses to pay heed to accelerating the progress, state budget capital disbursement and resolving current difficulties in the site clearance work.

At the same time, works at resettlement areas should be completed soon to help affected households to stablise their lives, the Vice Chairman said.

The provincial transport projects management board should work with consultants to submit documents to competent agencies for approval of the second phase of the Bai Dinh - Ba Sao road and cooperate with Gia Vien district in speeding up the site clearance for the whole project, he added.
