Provincial industrial production index up 25% in 2017

Ninh Binh's industrial production index (IPI) was estimated to hit 40.3 trillion VND (189 million USD) in 2017,posting an increase of 25 percent against 2016, the provincial Statistics Office reported.
Key products with hikes in production included automobiles, module cameras, fertilizers, floating glass, and electronic components.
The province's industrial sector is focusing on applying high-technology and clean technology in production.
In the year, the province granted licenses to 35 projects with a total registered capital of over 5.1 trillion VND (454 million USD).
In the time to come, Ninh Binh continues making efforts to improve the business climate and raise provincial competitiveness index.
It set to give priority to investment in infrastructure in industrial zones and economic zones in the coastal region and mountainous areas, and in developing the support industry, striving to increase the production values of industry and construction to 13.6 percent.
