PM Dung expressed his admiration for the achievements recorded by the Cuban Party, State and people during their national construction and development phase, particularly in healthcare, education, and science and technology.
He expressed thanks to Cuba for its valuable support of Vietnam's past struggle for national liberation and its present cause of socio-economic development.
Both sides agreed that the two countries' special relationship has been developing extensively, thanks to agreements signed by high-level leaders. They said the establishment of the Cuba-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians' Group in July 2013 further testified to the close bilateral ties.
The Cuban legislative leader expressed his hope that the two countries would further intensify co-operation in economics, trade and investment, adding that Cuba wants more experience-sharing with Vietnam regarding socio-economic development.
PM Dung invited President Hernandez to attend the 132nd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union on the part of National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung. The event will be held in Vietnam in March 2015.
Later in the day, the prime minister plans to visit the Cubancan rice farm in Pinar del Rio to inspect the progress and efficiency of the two countries' agricultural co-operation project there.
