Many articles emphasize the role of President Tran Dai Quang in foreign affairs, helping to raise Vietnam's position and prestige in the international arena.The Granma of Cuba published an article: "Cuba is side by side with Vietnam before passing away of President Tran Dai Quang". The article claimed that the departure of the Vietnamese President is a great loss not only to Vietnam but also to the Government and people of Cuba on the basis of friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries.In addition, President Tran Dai Quang also had his own mark as the last foreign leader the Cuban revolutionary leader Fidel Castro met before his death.The Prensa Latina of the country called President Tran Dai Quang as a "big friend" of Cuba.
