Talking with the Tay Ninh provincial Party Standing Committee and former provincial leaders, President Sang urged the local authorities to construct a plan to raise the productivity and quality of the province's agricultural products, such as sugarcane, peanut and rubber, in order to raise their competitiveness in the world's market.
The State leader also asked the local administration to do their best to ensure peace and stability on their borderline with neighbouring countries while embarking on preparations for local Party Congresses at all levels.
Visiting the Vietnam Moc Bai Joint Stock Company under the Republic of Korea's Taekwang Group, President Sang praised significant contributions made by the Taekwang Group to Vietnam in recent years. He called on the RoK business to expand their operation in Vietnam and foster their ongoing projects in the country; thus contributing to the fine development between Vietnam and RoK.
President Sang also visited the Party Central Office for South Vietnam heritage site in Tan Bien district, where he burnt incense and made offerings to late leaders and the Party Secretary of the office.
Later on the same day, President Sang visited Binh Duong province. He expressed his delight at the province's GDP growth rate of 13% in 2014. The locality has also been active in creating an attractive investment environment; it has drawn over US$1.6 billion from foreign investors.
He asked provincial leaders to maintain its economic growth rate in a bid to become an industrial province in the future.
