Preparations underway for second Ninh Binh - Trang An Festival

These days, hundreds of engineers, labourers are working hard to set the real-life stage which is built in the magical space of the natural and cultural heritage of the Trang An Landscape Complex.

Le Anh Xuan, production supervisor of Thang Long Travel and Communications JSC, said the 4,000 s.q-meter stage is built on the water and is decorated with natural materials such as plants, grasses and white common reeds. In particular, lighting and mapping projection technologies will be used to create distinctive effect for the stage.

The company has paid special attention to ensuring both safety and  and aesthetic values of the stage, he said, adding that it is scheduled to be completed before December 22.

Local travel agencies, tourist sites, accommodation establishments and restaurants have also been preparing for serving a large number of tourists during this event.

Thung Nham ecological site is chosen for organising some activities of the festival. To date, infrastructure and other necessary conditions have been upgraded and prepared.

Tran Thi Thanh Lan, Head of the Business Division of the Thung Nham ecological site, said as part of the festival, a programme entitled "The heritage quintessence of  the north central region"; Laos-Vietnam cultural exchange programme and the closing ceremony will be taken place  on December 31 evening at the Thung Nham ecological site. To prepare for these activities, the site management board has mobilised workers to plant more trees, flowers, and set up a Christmas decoration for visitor to check-in and take photos as well as to create a vivid space for the landscape.

In addition, the management board also has inspected safety conditions related to fire prevention and control, electric systme and boats.

Pham Van Ha, Executive Director of Thuy Anh Hotel Co. Ltd., said the hotel is expected to receive a large number of tourists with a room capacity up to over 90%. In order to better serve them, the hotel has provided training courses for receptionists, waitresses, room attendants and security personnel.

Meanwhile, some travel agencies have launched numerous promotion programmes and tours to attract more visitors to Ninh Binh during this occasion.

A leader of the Department of Tourism said the second Ninh Binh-Trang An Festival coincides with the New Year holiday, so it is expected that Ninh Binh will receive a huge number of tourists. Therefore, the department has closely worked with local sectors, administrations and tourist sites to devise plans for receiving visitors, ensuring traffic safety, social order and food safety.

Moreover, they have been upgrading infrastructure and equipment, and preparing labour forces to better serve tourists.

The thorough preparations are hoped to contribute to the success of the festival and bring unforgettable experiences to visitors.
