Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyen Thi Thu Ha chaired the meeting, which also saw the attendance of Standing Vice Secretary and Chairman of the provincial People's Council Tran Hong Quang, Vice Secretary and Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Pham Quang Ngoc, and leaders of provincial departments, agencies and Hoa Lu district.
At the meeting, leaders of the provincial People's Committee reported on the progress of the implementation of tasks in preparation for the opening ceremony of the National Tourism Year - Hoa Lu Festival 2021.
Participants also heard reports presented by leaders of the Departments of Public Security and Health on plans to ensure security and order, traffic safety, COVID-19 prevention, food hygiene and safety, and emergency aid.
They discussed arising issues in the process of preparing for the event and put forth matters that need the direction of the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee and the Organising Committee for the National Tourism Year 2021.
Speaking at the meeting, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyen Thi Thu Ha said the preparations for the opening ceremony of the National Tourism Year - Hoa Lu Festival 2021 have made fairly well.
She highly evaluated the efforts of members of the Organising Committee for the National Tourism Year 2021, the provincial People's Committee, Hoa Lu district and relevant agencies.
Ha asked competent departments and agencies to focus on their tasks in the coming time, considering it a key mission to ensure the success of the opening ceremony.
The provincial leader also requested the implementation of COVID-19 prevention and control measures at the highest level as well as mesures to ensure traffic safety and fire and explosion prevention.
In addition, Ha also ordered due attention to be paid to communications on the media, esepcially national media outlets.
The opening ceremony of the National Tourism Year - Hoa Lu Festival 2021 will be held on April 20 night, which is expected to see the participation of about 2,600 guests and 7,000 local people and visitors.
Events will take place throughout the year, with 11 major activities and 27 others hosted by Ninh Binh province, while a hundred corresponding activities will be organised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism along with 27 cities and provinces nationwide.
Located in the southern reaches of the Red River Delta, Ninh Binh is known for its wondrous natural scenery, with a labyrinth of waterways, mountains, and plains as well as cross-cultural influences from the north to the south and from the mountains to the plains and coastal areas. It is home to 1,821 relic areas, including 81 national relic sites and a world cultural and natural heritage site.
