PM receives Lao Minister of National Defense

PM Phuc welcomed the visit of the Lao Defense Minister and expressed his pleasure to witness the development in the bilateral ties. He hoped that the visit would contribute to cementing and promoting the traditional relations, friendship, and special solidarity.

The Vietnamese Government spares no effort to implement agreements reached by top leaders of the two countries and promote the bilateral cooperation in various fields, he said.

The host leader noticed the importance of maintaining exchanges of high-ranking delegations, calling the two Ministries of National Defense to provide consultations, reports, and proposals for leaders.In training area, Viet Nam has spared no effort to promote training for Lao students in Viet Nam especially Vietnamese language training. Viet Nam stands ready to assist training areas which Laos has demands especially in national defense, he said.

PM Phuc expressed Viet Nam's stance in maintaining peaceful, friendly, and stable borderline between the two countries; recommending Lao ministries and agencies to work with Vietnamese peers to ensure security, border order, and prevent cross-border crimes.

Lao Minister of National Defense Chansamone Channhalat revealed that he hoped to cement and deepen the cooperation in national defense, significantly contributing to the Viet Nam-Laos Solidarity and Friendship Year 2017.

Minister Chansamone Channhalat took the occasion to thank the Party, State, and the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense for supporting the Lao side on the field. The two ministries worked to ensure security, peaceful and friendly borderline; and prevent plots which intend to incite and split national solidarity.
