PM receives Cuban National Assembly Chairman

He hailed Cuba's huge achievements in updating the economic development model and its success in diplomatic process, helping increase the nation's status.

Mr.Esteban Lazo Hernandezthanked Viet Nam for facilitating him to make a speech at the Viet NamNational Assembly on June 12, affirming that Cuba attaches importance to the strategic relationship with Viet Nam.

He expressed thanks to Viet Nam for providing rice for Cuba and launching programs to ensure food security as well as Viet Nam's assistance to the country'squest forthe U.S.lifting of itsembargo on Cuba.

PM Phuc agreed that Viet Nam will send a number of delegations in all fields to Cuba to exchange experience on renovation.

The Vietnamese Government encourages and facilitates the bilateral economic, trade and investment cooperation, said the PM, adding that Viet Nam is willing to provide long-term rice for Cuba.

The host proposed the two sides enhance delegation exchanges between ministries, localities and businesses as well as promote cooperation in advantageous areas such as agriculture, biological industry, construction, tourism, telecommunications and electronics.

The occasion, the Vietnamese PM hoped that the two nations' National Assemblies will negotiate, sign and launch bilateral cooperative agreements and programs to serve for each side'snational development.
