The Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee held a meeting on June 16 to hear a report on the planning scheme of Ninh Binh province for the 2021-2030 period with a vision until 2050.

Participants listened to a brief report on the planning scheme presented by a representative of the consulting unit.
The goal of the planning scheme is to develop Ninh Binh rapidly and sustainably and turn it into a tourism-service center of the Red River Delta and of the whole country; develop modern industry and agriculture using high technologies; plays its role as one growth pole of the quadrangle: Ha Noi, Hai Phong - Quang Ninh and Ninh Binh linked with Thanh Hoa.
Delegates asked the consulting unit to define some issues related to land; reasonable allocation of land for forestation, and industrial clusters and industrial zones.
The consulting agency needs to cooperate with some departments and sectors to review mineral reserves in some localities.

They also proposed the consulting agency considering planning schemes for new urban areas; eradicating a logistic center in the eastern region of Ninh Binh city; planning for flood prevention works towards removing flood-prone areas; and plans to develop power grids.
Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Pham Quang Ngoc spoke highly of the ideas put forth by provincial departments and sectors, and affirmed that the good planning scheme would create momentum for the province's socio-economic development.
He also urged leaders of departments and sectors to cooperate with the consulting agency in contributing ideas andproviding information in order to complete the planning scheme.
The consulting unit needs to collect ideas and proposals, then readjusting the planning scheme properly in a bid to exploit potential and advantages to develop Ninh Binh rapidly and sustainably, Ngoc said.
