The delegation included Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, former Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung, former NA Chairman Nguyen Van An, former Party and State leaders, leaders of central agencies and revolutionary veterans.
Then, they laid another floral wreath and paid tribute to fallen soldiers at the Fallen Soldiers' and Heroes' Memorial.
Also on September 2, Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong offered incense to pay tribute to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh, the beloved leader and national hero, at House No 67 in the President Ho Chi Minh relic site.
House No 67 is where the late President spent the last days of his life, 45 years ago.
The Party chief expressed his gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh, who brought fame to the nation and made great contributions to the struggle for national liberation and unification.
He praised efforts of officials and staff working in the relic complex in preserving objects related to the late leader.
He said he hoped the staff will work harder to help not only Vietnamese people but also international visitors gain a deeper insight into the late President's life and revolutionary career, thus understanding more about the Party and State's glorious revolutionary cause. The same day, delegations of the Ministries of National Defence, Public Security, Foreign Affairs and the Hanoi Municipal Party Committee and People's Committee also paid homage at Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and War Martyrs' and Heroes' Memorial.
