Party leader receives Chinese State Councilor, FM

Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong made that statement at his reception for ChineseState Councilor and FM Wang Yi on April 2 in HaNoi.

He expected that the Chinese FM will contribute to making Viet Nam-China Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership more effective and intensive.

He proposed the two sides strictlyadhere to the common perceptionsreached by their high-raking leaders and theagreement on the basic principles guiding the settlement of issues at sea between Viet Nam and Chinaas well as controlling disputes and preventing any activity to complicate the situation and joining hands to maintain peace and stability in the East Sea.

Mr. Wang Yi congratulated Viet Nam on the successful organization of thesixth Greater MekongSubregion(GMS-6) Summit.

The Chinese Party, State and people attach importance to the relationship with Viet Nam, asserted Mr. Wang Yi, expressing his hope to enhance strategic dialogues, boost cooperation, control disputes at seas and maintain active development of the two Parties and nations' relations.
