Party Central Committee wraps up 10th meeting

In the morning, the committee discussed in groups a report reviewing the leadership and direction by the Politburo and the Secretariat for 2014.

Later in early afternoon, they held a question-and-answer session.

Dinh The Huynh, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and head of the Central Committee's Commission for Popularisation and Education, delivered a report on the Politburo's feedback on a draft political report of the Central Committee (11th tenure) which is due to be submitted to the 12th National Party Congress.

Politburo member and Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung delivered a report on the Politburo's feedback on a draft report assessing the 2011-2015 socio-economic performance and orientations for the 2016-2020 period which is to be submitted to the 12th National Party Congress.

Politburo member To Huy Rua, who is also Secretary of the Party Central Committee and head of the Central Committee's Organisation Commission, presented a report on the Politburo's feedback on a draft report reviewing the implementation of the Party regulations (11th tenure).

Participants voted to adopt the Resolution of the 10th meeting.

Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong made a closing speech at the end of the event.
