Over 2,000 runners participate in Cuc Phuong Jungle Paths 2024

Cuc Phuong Jungle Paths 2024 with the theme of "Race for conservation" was held on April 6 and7 in Cuc Phuong National Park in the northern province of Ninh Binh, drawing the participation of more than 2,000 Vietnamese and international runners.

The race was co-organised by New Race Joint Stock Company, Cuc Phuong National Park and the Department of Culture and Sports of Ninh Binh.
Runners competed in five distance categories: 10 kilometers, 25 kilometers, 42 kilometers, 70 kilometers and 100 kilometers through hilly terrain and limestone mountains.
This year, the organising board used the set of mascots, which are the images of wildlife animals including keeled box turtle (Cuora mouhotii), Chinese pangolin (Manis pentadactyla), Cuc Phuong red-bellied squirrel, white-rumped langur, and clouded leopard in different starting positions to raise awareness on protecting the wildlife and rare animals.
The organising board awarded prizes and medals to male and female winners of the five distance categories.

The Cuc Phuong Jungle Paths 2024 was among important events to mark the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory and the 1,100th birthday anniversary of King Dinh Tien hoang
It also helped to promote the physical training and sport movement among local people in the province.
This was also an opportunity to promote and introduce the beauty of Ninh Binh landscapes and people to domestic and international guests.
