Eight cities and districts of Ninh Binh province held ceremonies on February 25 to see off more than 1,700 young people voluntarily registering to join the military and public security forces this year.

Doan Minh Huan, member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee attended the send-off ceremony in Yen Mo district.
Also attending the ceremony were Major General Bui Cong Chuc, Deputy Political Commissar of Military Region 3; Colonel Dinh Cong Thanh, Commander of the provincial Military High Command; and Colonel Dang Trong Cuong, Director of the provincial Department of Public Security, among others.
This year, 283 young people in Yen Mo district joined the military and public security forces. They will participate in training courses at units in the province and other localities nationwide. Of them, 29 recruits have university or college degrees, and 78 were already admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam.

At a similar ceremony in Nho Quan district, Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Council Mai Van Tuat and leaders of Military Region 3 and provincial departments, sectors and local administration presented gifts and encouraged 295 young people who voluntarily joined the military and public security forces. This year, 252 young people in Nho Quan district joined the army and 43 others participated in the police force.

On the same day, Gia Vien district also organized a ceremony to send off 262 new recruits to join the military and public security forces with the participation of Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Pham Quang Ngoc.
The same day, all eight districts and cities of the province also completed the handover of recruits to the army and public security forces.

At these farewell ceremonies for newly-recruited soldiers, provincial leaders presented flowers and gifts to the recruits and encouraged them to learn and train hard at military and police units, thus successfully fulfilling all assigned tasks.
