Officials pay Tet visits to agencies, localities

Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan and Head of the Party Central Committee's Commission for Mass Mobilisation Truong Thi Mai and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security visited the public security force in the southern province of Ben Tre.

After hearing a report by Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Hoang, Head of the Ben Tre Department of Public Security on the locality's security in 2015 and during the Lunar New Year festival, Ngan praised the force's efforts and achievements. The officials extended best wishes to the province's public security officers and planted memorial trees at the department's headquarters.

Meanwhile, Minister of Public Security, General Tran Dai Quang had a working visit with the public security force of Nam Dinh province. After being briefed on the province's security, the general spoke highly of the force's efforts and urged them to continue ensuring safety for visitors during spring festivals held in the province.

On the same day, Secretary of the Hanoi municipal Party Committee Hoang Trung Hai visited and examined services at the Hanoi Railway Station, My Dinh Bus Station and Noi Bai International Airport. The official praised efforts of officers and workers of the transportation sector in ensuring transport services during the peak season - the Lunar New Year. He asked the units to continue ensuring security and traffic safety and order and elevating the quality of services, contributing to promoting the capital and the country.

It was reported that the Hanoi Railway Station welcomed approximately 9,400 passengers from the end of the lunar year to the fourth day of the year of the Monkey with 92% of departures on schedule. Meanwhile, the My Dinh Bus Station served 14,644 buses with nearly 325,000 passengers and the Noi Bai International Airport ensured complete safety for all flights during the festival.
