Officials check preparations for karate competition of SEA Games 31 in Ninh Binh

At the meeting, representatives of Ninh Binh's organising board briefed participants on the preparations for the competition in terms of infrastructure, logistics, heath care and communications.

Ninh Binh authorities asked the National Organising Committee for SEA Games 31 to clarify specific tasks that each side must take over.

After the meeting, the delegates paid a fact-finding trip to inspect the preparations for the event.

SEA Games 31 is slated to take place from May 12-23, 2022 in the capital city of Hanoi, and the northern provinces of Bac Ninh, Hai Duong, Quang Ninh, Ha Nam, Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh, Hoa Binh, Vinh Phuc, Bac Giang and Phu Tho and Hai Phong city. The largest regional sport event is set to feature a total of 40 sports with 526 sets of medals. 

Ninh Binh will host the karate event of SEA Games 31. The event will take place from May 16-20, 2022 at the Stadium of Ninh Binh. It is expected to welcome 400 athletes, officials and coaches from ASEAN nations.

SEA Games 31 will be an opportunity for Ninh Binh to show off its ability to host large sport events and promote the images of the province and its people to foreign friends as well.
