Ninh Binh welcomes nearly 5.3 million tourists in first half of 2018

The figure included 435,000 foreign visitors, showing a rise of more than 2.4 percent, and 4.8 million domestic visitors, a rise of 5.6 percent against same period last year.

 Since early 2018, Ninh Binh has successfully organised a series of cultural and touism activities, such as the 1050th anniversary of the establishment of the Dai Co Viet state,HoaLu festival, and a Tam Coc-Trang An tourism week 2018.

 The province has also given directions to upgrade hotels and restaurants, diversify tourism products and services, and open new tours.

 In particular, the Department of Tourism has launched a smart tourism portal to help visitors search information related to accommodations, foods, tourism destinations, shops, and entertainment, travel and events.

 In 2018, the provincial tourism sector set a goal of welcoming 7.2 million visitors and a total tourism revenue of 2.7 trillionVND.
