Ninh Binh welcomes nearly 2 million visitors in first two months

According to the provincial statistic office, in the first two months of this year, Ninh Binh province welcomed 1.9 million visitors, up nearly 3 percent compared to the same period last year.
The figure included 138,000 foreign visitors, an increase of 18 percent. The tourism sector earned an revenue of a round 826 billion VND, posting a rise of 18 percent compared to same period last year.
In three first months of 2019, the Ninh Binh tourism sector welcomed a larger number of visitors as Bai Dinh - Trang An festival takes place in the very first new day of first lunar month.
Therefore, the province has asked localities to work closely with police forces and other relevant agencies in order to ensure security, order and safety for tourists during peak season. Meanwhile, prices at the destinations and festivals were also under control; the traffic order and safety were well maintained with no congestion.
