Ninh Binh welcomes 5.3 million tourists in first half of 2017

The famous landscapes of Trang An, Tam Coc - Bich Dong, Natural Reserve of Van Long, among many other historical and cultural sites, has helped the northern province of Ninh Binh attract 5.3 million holiday-makers in the first half of the year, up 19.4% from the same period in 2016.
The figure included over4.9 million domestic visitors and 435,000 foreign tourists, a rise of 19.7% and 16.2% against same period last year, respectively.
The number of those staying overnight was 283,000 per night, a year - on - year rise of 35.5%.
The tourism sector earned an estimated revenue ofnearly1.6 trillion VND (70 million USD), which reflected a surge of 49% percent against that recorded a year earlier.(Translated by Nguyen Thuy)
