The provincial People's Committee reported that the site clearance for the 10.1-km Cao Bo-Mai Son section has been accomplished. Compensation payments have been given to 2,079 out of 2,116 affected households, with the disbursement rate reaching 94.72 percent.
There remained difficulties related to families who have yet to hand over the site and slow resettlement in Khanh Hoa commune.
For the Mai Son-National Highway No. 45 section, 9,3 out of 14.35 kilometers of land have been cleared, accounting for 64,87 percent; 520 out of 797 affected households have received compensation with the disbursement rate hitting 87,73 percent. The site clearance at some places in Tam Diep city and Hoa Lu district has yet to be finished.
Speaking at the working session, Son asked Ninh Binh authorities to seek ways to accomplish the site clearance work on schedule and in line with law.
Besides, the province must direct localities and agencies to soon finish resettlement areas to help affected people stabilise their lives.
Leaders of the provincial People's Committee promised to ask departments, sectors and localities to accelerate the site clearance and deal with obstacles related to land of the remaining households.
The province will also speed up the construction of technical infrastructure and resettlement areas for relocated households in order to hand over the cleared site to the contractor for the implementation of the project as scheduled.
