Ninh Binh to work on new seaplane tours

The plan forms part of a proposal submitted by the Hai Au Aviation JSC regarding the launch of a tourist seaplane route from Hanoi to Ninh Binh and vice versa.

Ninh Binh authorities are considering the plan upon receiving it and have assigned the department of transport to work with related sectors on examining its feasibility.

A proposed itinerary of the seaplane tour will cover such destinations as Noi Bai international airport- Cuc Phuong National park - Trang An Landscape complex and Bai Dinh pagoda - Ninh Binh city - Yen Thang lake - Noi Bai international airport.

The Hai Au Aviation JSC plans to use a Cessna Grand Caravan EX hovercraft-- one of the newest seaplane models with 12 premium seats for passengers and expects to start services as soon as getting its license approval.

Currently, the firm is expanding its operations to a number of tourist destinations in the southern central and southern regions, such as Nha Trang, Mui Ne, Da Lat, Con Dao, Phu Quoc and Can Tho.

The company has received numerous requests for seaplane flights to view Ha Noi and Ninh Binh, especially the Trang An landscape complex - which is dubbed as Ha Long bay on land.
