Ninh Binh to host karate competitions of 9th National Sports Festival

Participants heard the organising committee's draft plan to hold the Karate competitions.

Members of the organising committee contributed ideas to finalise the plan in terms of infrastructure, logistics, reception, order and security, and communications.

The Karate competitions of the 9^th National Sports Festival are expected to attract the participation of 39 teams with over 400 athletes. They will compete in different categories and weight groups, namely individual and group kata, and men's and women kumite.

The competitions are scheduled to take place from November 26 to 30.

*The same day, the organising committee of the 2nd Trang An Marathon also convened a meeting.

The event, hosted by Big Prize JSC, is hoped to attract 2,637 runners, including 2,490 domestic runners and 147 foreign athletes.

The runners will take part in difference distances such as 5km, 10km, 21km, and 42km for men and women.

The first race of 42km will take place on early November 13.

The opening ceremony is scheduled to take place in Hoa Lu ancient capital on November 12.

This is the second time Ninh Binh has hosted the Trang An Marathon after the first in 2018.
