The event will be jointly held by the Vietnam National Commission for UNESCO and the Ninh Binh provincial People's Committee.
A degelegation fromthe Vietnam National Commission for UNESCO on June 28 had a working session with relevant departments, sectors, and agencies of Ninh Binh to discuss a number of issues related to the organisation of the event.
At the working session, Standing Vice Chairman of the Ninh Binh provincial People's Committee Tong Quang Thin, Head of the Department of External Culture and UNESCO under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pham Vinh Quang and delegates discussed preparation work for the event such as documents, speeches, art programmes, stage decoration, itinerary for participants and dissemination work.
The conference aims to promote Vietnam as a country with abundant potential and opportunities for sustainable development, thereby improving living conditions of Vietnamese people, ensuring the preservation and promotion of cultural and natural heritages, and traditional values for sustainable development.
The even will provide participants with a chance to study and exchange experiences in the research, preservation and management of UNESCO titles in Vietnam in the coming time.
By hosting the conference, Ninh Binh will have an opportunity to popularise and introduce its potential, strengths and Trang An cultural and natural heritage to domestic and international friends; raise awareness and responsibility of the community in protecting and promoting cultural and natural heritages in Vietnam in paricular and in the world in general.
