Attending the working session were Pham Vinh Quang, Secretary General of the Vietnam National Commission for UNESCO and Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Department of Cultural Diplomacy, and Standing Vice Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee Tong Quang Thin.
As planned, a series of activities will be held to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 1972 Convention on the occasion of the first official visit to Vietnam by UNESCO Director General Audrey Azoulay from September 5-7, 2022.
The anniversary ceremony and other activities will be held on September 6, in the northern province of Ninh Binh.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee and National Committee for UNESCO will jointly organise these activities.
The anniversary ceremony will take place at the province's convention center with the participation of 300 guests.
During the working session, participants discussed and reached consensus on the contents of the anniversary ceremony and other activities.
Standing Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Tong Quang Thin said that it will direct and assign tasks to departments, sectors, agencies, units and localities to build plans and prepare all conditions to successfully organise this important event.
