Of the value, the mining sector contributed 278 billion VND, down 7.5%; processing and manufacturing industry, 47.13 trillion VND, up 4.2%; electricity production and distribution, 484.6 billion VND, down 5.8%; water supply and garbage treatment, 78 billion VND, down 0.7%.
Some industrial products achieved rather high growth like clothes (up 23.3%); footwear (10.8%); gloves (8.1%); fertilizers (18.8%); floating glass (5.15), and camera modules (57%).
While some products saw declines such as stones (down 6.8%), cement (1.5%), clinker (5.85); cars with five seats and more (35.8%); and automobile wipers (13.5%).
Hoang Trung Kien, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, said, in the coming time, it will implement the direction of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee as well as tasks, solutions and mechanisms of the Government in governing the economy, especially mechanisms and policies related to businesses.
In particularly, the department will complete the building of a project on restructuring the industry sector of Ninh Binh to 2030, with orientations until 2035.
At the same time, it will survey to grasp the situation of investment, production and business activities of investors and secondary firms in industrial clusters in the province.
Besides, the department will also step up administrative reform, improve the performance of official duties among cadres and public employees, and develop e-administration towards digital administration, digital economy and digital society.
It will continue to improve the investment and business climate and enhance the competitiveness of local enterprises.
The department will hold dialogues with enterprises to promptly remove difficulties for them in an attempt to accelerate the recovery of industrial production.
