Ninh Binh supports Laos's Oudomxay province in COVID-19 fight

Vietnamese Consul General in northern Laos Nguyen Dang Hung, on behalf of Ninh Binh authorities, on June 30 handed over 500 million VND (21,750 USD) to assist Oudomxay province in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Acting Governor of Oudomxay province Bounkhong Lachiamphone expressed his gratitude to Ninh Binh's administration and people's relief aid, affirming that the precious assistance would tighten the friendship between Vietnam and Laos in general and between Ninh Binh and Oudomxay provinces in particular.
Since the COVID-19 broke out, Oudomxay province has received aid and medical supplies from other provinces of Vietnam such as Son La, Lai Chau and Vinh Phuc, he added.
Oudomxay province has to date reported 22 cases of COVID-19 and no fatality. It has gone through more than one month without any new case.
