Ninh Binh student wins silver at 2015 Taiwan International Exhibition of Young Inventors
The 2015 IEYI was organized by the National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU). It drew 11 national teams from countries and territories worldwide.
The Vietnamese team got a gold medal for the invention "High-rise building fire fighting robot" by Giang Quang Hieu and Nguyen Truong Son from Son Tay school in Ha Noi.
They also earned two bronze medals which went to Nguyen Trong Thuy from Loc Ha school in Ha Tinh province for the model "Exploration robot controlled through wifi", and to Vu Xuan Khai from Ly Nhan school in Ha Nam province with the model "Teaching equipment: Model of magnetic craft".
The winning works are the pride of Vietnam, fuelling other young students' excitement of turning their creative ideas into reality.
The International Exhibition for Young Inventors is an annual event for the youth to exhibit their creativity, invention and innovation.The aim of IEYI is to encourage creativity and invention of teenagers.
The 1st IEYI was held in Japan in 2004 on the occasion of the 100th founding anniversary of the Japan Institute of Invention and Innovation (JIII). It was participated by 43 countries and territories.
