After more than two years of construction, the road has been shaped and it is expected to put into operation in early September.
The East-West road has a total length of 22.95 kilometers. It is designed to have four lanes while the section connecting the starting point with the intersection of North-South expressway has eight lanes.
The project starts in Tam Diep city and ends in the mountainous district of Nho Quan. The road also connects with the intersection of the North-South expressway in the Tam Diep city.
Nguyen Duc Anh, a representative of the provincial management board of transport projects, said 50% of the workload has been completed. The project's progress has been affected by rain in recent times, therefore, the management board has asked constructors to mobilise machines, equipment and workers to work all round the clock in order to complete the project as scheduled.

To date, around 1.27 trillion VND has been disbursed. The money was spent on clearing the land site (851 billion VND) and installment and other costs (over 417 billion VND), Anh added.
Giang Huy Anh, head of the construction site, said: "Currently, we have mobilised all workers and equipment to work in three shifts in a bid to accelerate the progress."
To date, the whole route has been formed and 7 kilometers have been asphalted, he added.
