Recently, the provincial People's Council has issued Resolution No. 32 regulating policies on supporting the development of the agricultural economy and rural areas in the period of 2022-2025, including regulations on the support for OCOP products.
Accordingly, collectives and households will be provided with financial assistance to improve the quality of their products with three-star products receiving 75 million VND, four-star products 85 million VND, and five-star products 100 million VND.
Besides, the province also pays more heed to raising the awareness of administrations of all levels and local community about OCOP products and assists OCOP owners to complete product information files, step up advertisement of goods on a wide range of e-commerce platforms and design websites for selling OCOP products.
In 2022, Ninh Binh classified and recognised 47 new OCOP products. The figure raises the province's total number of OCOP products to more than 100, including 68 four-star and 33 three-star products.
To achieve the target of having 150 OCOP products rated as three-star or higher, Ninh Binh has been mapping out a plan to organise training courses for OCOP owners, pilot and multiply booths and centres to sell local OCOP products.
It will also give priority to developing local specialty and traditional products associated with potential, traditions, craft villages and countryside tourism of localities.
