Hoang Hai Anh, Head of the Division of Housing Management under the Department of Construction, said that in the period of 2023-2025, Ninh Binh is striving to complete 271,800 square metres of social housing. Of which, nearly 200,000 square metres of social housing are being constructed while over 74,000 square metres will be carried out in the coming time.
Currently, there are two social housing projects in the province, including a project on building apartments for low-income people in Ninh Phong ward (Ninh Binh city), covering an area of about 1.36 hectares. Once completed, the project will provide 335 apartments with 20,100 square metres of floor area.
The other project is to build social houses for workers in Gian Khau industrial zone, covering a total area of 4.96 hectares. Once completed, it will provide 2,018 apartments with over 175,000 square metres of floor and 94 separated houses with over 12,700 square metres of floor. Both projects will be completed in the period of 2023-2025.
In addition, Ninh Binh city, Hoa Lu district and Tam Diep city also have allocated land plots for building social houses for low-income people.
They include a new urban area project in Ninh Nhat commune of Ninh Binh city and Ninh My commune of Hoa Lu district. It is designed with 448 apartments, covering 43,058 square meters of floor; Ninh Khang residential area in Ninh Khang commune of Hoa Lu district, which is designed to have 921 apartments with a total area of over 47,500 square meters; and Yen Binh urban area in Yen Binh ward of Tam Diep city which will have 1,757 apartments covering a total floor area of more than 158,200 square meters.
In the period of 2023-2025, these projects will be completed and put into operation, Anh added.
The provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Construction to work with related departments, sectors and localities to implement the plan, build annual budget estimate for building social housing projects and collect information related to the demand for housing among workers and labourers in industrial zones.
Besides, the provincial People's Committee also asked investors must implement the projects in line with the approved schedule and progress, and work out plans and roadmaps for these projects.
