In a bid to stabilise the market, control prices and prevent the smuggling of commodities and trading of counterfeit goods, the Sub-department of Market Surveillance has directed its branches to work with public security forces and People's Committees of districts and cities to inspect, prevent and deal with smuggling cases and trading and transport of counterfeit products, especially for firecrackers.
All necessary commodities such as electronic appliances, clothes, footwear, food, foodstuff, confectionery, drinks, cigaretts, petrol and gas, animals and animal products have been inspected.
Besides, authorised agencies have also inspected cases suspected of price gouging, goods speculation, illegal price hikes and price listing.
In addition, they have also stepped up the communication work in a bid to increase public awareness of legal regulations in production and business activities as well as consumption culture.
It has also mobilised organisations and individuals to make commitments to not taking part in smuggling, production and trading of counterfeit commodities.
Those violating regulations on smuggling, production and trading of counterfeit commodities will be punished heavily.
