In a bid to implement effectively the "One Commune One Product" programme in Ninh Binh province in the period of 2022-2025 associated with sustainably building new-style rural areas, local organisations, business households and localities have stepped up the development of OCOP products in parallel with restructuring the agriculture sector, enhancing the effectiveness of production and business models, creating jobs and increasing incomes for rural people.
According to the plan, by 2025, Ninh Binh will have at least 150 OCOP products rated as three-stars upward, of which at least 3% are rated as five-star products.
As for 54 recognised OCOP products, local sectors, localities, organisations, collectives and business households have actively popularised and promoted via media outlets. They also mapped out plans to improve the quality of these OCOP products.
Pham Tien Duat, of Vu Gia Medical Herb Co. Ltd., in Gia Lam commune of Nho Quan district, said: "The district is stepping the development of camelia product. We hope that Cuc Phuong camelia product will be advertised widely in the whole nation as a precious herbal of Ninh Binh".
Recently, the Ninh Binh Povincial People's Council has issued Resolution No.32 regulating policies on supporting the development of the agricultural economy and rural areas in the period of 2022-2025, including regulations on support for OCOP products.
Accordingly, collectives and households will be provided with financial assistance to improve the quality of their products with three-star products receiving 75 million VND, four-star products 85 million VND, and five-star products 100 million VND.
