The East-West road project, which is listed in group A, is a key project of the province that aims to improve transport infrastructure and connect Kim Son and Nho Quan districts and then the North-South expressway.
The East-West road project has a total length of 22.95 kilometers with total investment capital of over 1.9 trillion VND. It is designed to have four lanes while the section connecting the starting point with the intersection of the North-South expressway will have eight lanes.
Pham Quoc Chinh, Director of the provincial management board of transport projects, said localities have so far handed over 20.2 out of 22.9 kilometers of reclaimed land. Of which, Tam Diep city has completed site clearance while the mountainous district of Nho Quan handed over 13.64 out of 16.3 kilometers of land.
The remaining of 2,66 kilometers of land include residential land and technical infrastructure works.
In an attempt to complete the project, the management board has asked the contractor to mobilise more equipment, machines and workers, and assisted the contractor in dealing with hindrances in the construction process.
The management board has also coordinated with related units to speed up construction with an attempt to complete the project by the end of 2023, and put it into operation by 2025.
As one of the important projects, the first-phase construction of T21 road (Le Duan road) was launched on the occassion of the province re-establishment.
The road is hoped to provide a green, clean and spacious urban landscape and to open up new opportunities and momentum for socio-economic development for Ninh Binh city in particular and for the whole province in general.
A representative of Cuong Thinh Thi JSC which is is charge of bidding package No. 8 (building transport road), said the company is constructing the road foundation and technical infrastructure works. The company hoped that the local authority and related departments and sectors will speed up site clearance so that it could complete the project as scheduled.
The road has a total length of 2.7 kilometers. It has total investment capital of over 237.7 billion VND sourced from the provincial budget. As scheduled, the project will be carried out from 2021 to 2024.
To date, 2,63 out of 2,7 kilometers of land has been cleared. The value of the workload has been completed with a total disbursed amount of nearly 90 billion VND out of over 188 billion VND.
Chinh said, the management board has worked hard to speed up construction of key projects to soon complete transport infrastructure serving inter-regional connectivity and opening up opportunities for investment attraction and development and accelerating public capital disbursement.
These are considered as an important momentum for Ninh Binh to fulfill its socio-economic development targets this year.
