Ninh Binh should priotitise digital transformation in fields of its strength: Minister

At the working session, Huan stressed that Ninh Binh wants to become a hub of innovation and creativity in the coming time, so that it expects to receive coordination and support from the Ministry of Information and Communications.

Huan hoped that the ministry would arrange working sessions in Ninh Binh to materialize the mentioned matters.

Speaking at the working session, Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung lauded Ninh Binh for its achievements recorded in the past recent years and spoke highly of its goals, visions and aspirations, especially the province's determination to turn itself into a hub of innovation and creativity.

While analysing potential and advantages as well as difficulties, challenges and opportunities that Ninh Binh could meet when expediting the plan, Hung said that it needs to get ahead to make breakthroughs.

The province should increase budget for new products and technologies, and create an attractive market to lure more digital and innovative enterprises, he suggested.

Besides, the province should invest in platforms, infrastructure and workforce and have digital leaders to lead the process of development, the minister recommended.

First of all, Ninh Binh needs to prioritise the comprehensive digital transformation of all fields off its strength such as tourism, automobile industry, semiconductor, and hi-tech agriculture, Hung said.

He also emphasised the role and significance of green transition and  digital transformation in creating fast and sustainable development, saying that the working session have opened up orientations for building an action programme and a detailed plan to build Ninh Binh into a hub of innovation and creativity.

The ministry will always accompany and assist Ninh Binh in removing difficulties and obstacles related to digital transformation, Hung affirmed.
