Ninh Binh sets target of creating jobs for over 19,000 labourers

In 2023, the department actively carried out many programmes, projects and policies on labour, employment, social support and poverty reduction. The sector accomplished and surpassed many targets.

The province enrolled and provided vocational training for 17,605 people, raising the rate of trained labourers to 69.5%.

The province created new jobs for 20,486 labourers, surpassing the yearly plan by 5.6%. Of them, 2,036 workers were sent abroad, surpassing the yearly plan by 45.5%. The poverty rate fell to 1.86% while the rate of near-poor households dropped to 2.27%.

In 2024, the department has set a target of creating jobs for over 19,400 labourers, 1,400 of whom will be sent to work abroad.

It will also strive to provide vocational training for over 17,500 labourers, raising the rate of trained labourers to 71%. The province will ensure that 100% of the poor and near-poor households will receive medical, educational and housing support.
