Ninh Binh sends aid to Quang Ninh flood victims

Secretary of the Ninh Binh provincial Party Committee NguyenThiThanh, accompanied by a local delegation, on August 5 presented 500 million VND to northern Quang Ninh province, which had recently suffered heavy rainfall.
The historic downpour, the heaviest in 40 years, battered Quang Ninh from July 25 to early August, claiming 17 lives and causing estimated economic losses of 2.7 trillion VND (123.77 million USD).
Ninh Binh's 500 million VND aid was intended to help flood victims in Quang Ninh in their rebuilding efforts.
Secretary Thanh expressed her hope that QuangNinh
Do Thi Hoang, Standing Vice Secretary of the Quang Ninh provincial Party Committee, thanked NinhBinh for its support to her locals.
So far, over 55 billion VND (2.52 millionUS$) has been handed over to Quang Ninh to support its recovery efforts.
