Ninh Binh's youths join hand in speeding up 500kV circuit-3 power transmission line project

A section of the 500kV circuit-3 power transmission line from Thanh Hoa province to Nam Dinh 1 thermal power plant runs through the coastal district of Kim Son of Ninh Binh province.

Promoting the pioneering spirit, young people in Ninh Binh have actively coordinated with related units to support the construction of the line section running through Ninh Binh province, thus striving to complete it by the end of June as directed by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

Implementing the PM's Official dispatch No 55-CD/TTg dated June 1, 2024 on mobilising local resources to support the construction of the 500kV circuit-3 power transmission line; and Plan No. 235 of the Secretariat of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee on the emulation campaign to take part in the construction of the 500kV line in 30 days and nights, Ninh Binh's youth union has sent its members to join the campaign.

Kim Son is the only locality in Ninh Binh where the 500kV line from Thanh Hoa to Nam Dinh 1 thermal power plant runs though. Therefore, Kim Son district's youth union has established 10 groups of volunteer young people with 250 members to support the construction of the sub-project.

These groups have helped with the communication workd to raise awareness among young people and local people on the purpose and significance and benefits of the project, and have coordinated with the local administration to mobilise and support local people hand over cleared land site to  the contractors.

They have also assisted in alerting passers-by at construction sites and mobilise resources to buy and present gifts to workers.

The sub-project runs through 11 communes of Kim Son district, with a total length of eight kilometers and 21 pole sites covering an area of 3.79 hectares.

To date, the compensation for reclaimed land has been finished. The contractor and units are working hard to speed up construction.

Despite the scorching weather in the past days, hundreds of engineers and workers have still worked hard at the construction sites.

Together with local administrations at all levels and sectors, young people in Ninh Binh in general and those in Kim Son district in particular would make concerted efforts to support the locality and contractors to speed up the progress in a bid to complete the project by June 30.
