Ninh Binh's tourism sector strives to complete targets

In the first half of the 2020-2025 tenure, the local tourism sector suffered heavy losses caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. 

During the closure time due to the pandemic, local accommodation establishments, restaurants and tourist sites investing in building and upgrading their facilities, improvingservices and launching new tourism products.

In addition, the tourism sector also took the initiative in advising the provincial authorities in closing and opening door to tourists. As the result, Ninh Binh soon welcomed a large number of tourists after reopening.

Bui Van Manh, Director of the Department of Tourist, said in the first half of the tenure, the tourism sector has enhanced state management, proposed the provincial People's Committee  issue many documents and decisions to spur tourism development in a bid to build Ninh Binh into a safe, friendly and attractive destination.

Moreover, numerous activities have been held on a large scale, namely Visit Vietnam Year 2021, Ninh Binh Tourism Week, and Trang An Heritage Connection Festival - Ninh Binh 2022.

Thanks to these efforts, Ninh Binh has always been listed among top centrally-cities and provinces nationwide in ensuring security, safe and environment hygiene.

The image and brand of Ninh Binh tourism has affirmed on the Vietnam and world tourism maps.

Ninh Binh was voted as one of the most attractive destinations in Vietnam and in the region for three consecutive years.

Cuc Phuong National Park of Ninh Binh has been named "Asia'sLeading National Park" in five consecutive years.

These prestige titles have demonstrated the beauty of Ninh Binh, and helped promote the image, land, people of Ninh Binh.

This is also a pride and a momentum for the tourism sector to continue implementing the targets set for the whole tenure.

Ninh Binh sets a target of welcoming over 8.25 million tourists, including 1 million foreign visitors by 2025; earning over 10 trillion VND in revenue, and creating jobs for over 25,000 labourers, Manh said.

In order to fulfill the set targets and the Politburo's Resolution 08-NQ/TW on turning tourism into a spearhead economic sector and the provincial Party Committee's Resolution on tourism development for 2021-2030 with a vision until 2045, the tourism sector has implemented synchronic measures.

It will focus on raising awareness of tourism; enhancing state management; holding training courses and developing labour force; mobilising resources to build infrastructure, tourism products, expanding markets, promoting and advertising tourism potential and applying scientific advancements in tourism.

Its strategy is to develop green, sustainable and community based-tourism.

The province wil pay heed to preserving and promoting the culture, historical values; and launching unique, high-quality tourism products that bear the brand of Ninh Binh tourism.
