Numerous cultural events and festivals were held during the National Day holidays such as Tam Coc cuisine festival, and art programmes at Hoa Lu old quarter. A new tourist site of Vang Temple (Gold Temple) was put into operation. In particular, the tourism sector welcomed groups of Indian tourists with a total number of 3,800 people.
The Department of Tourism has steered local tourist sites and destinations to implement measures to serve visitors safely; ensure social security and order, hygiene and environmental conditions.
In addition, local tourist facilities have been asked to upgrade infrastructure and landscapes and prepare enough staff and workers to serve tourists.
Thanks to these efforts, the province welcomed over 414,000 tourist arrivals in September. The number of tourists staying at local accommodation establishments were 121,000.
It earned 498 billion VND in revenue, posting a year-on-year increase of 15.28%.
In the January -September period, the province served nearly 7.3 million visitors, up 32% compared to the same period last year and making 97% of the yearly plan.
The number of tourists staying overnight was more than 1.5 million. The touris, sector earned over 7.2 trillion VND in revenue.
With such a growth rate, Ninh Binh is expected to serve over 8.4 million travellers with the number of tourists staying overnight reaching 1.9 million in 2024.
The province is forecast to earn nearly 8.9 trillion VND in revenue, representing a year-on-year rise of 36% and 7% higher than the yearly target.
