Ninh Binh's tourism income rises over 16 percent in Q1

Tourism activities in Ninh Binh generated a revenue of 1.4 trillion VND between January and March, posting an year - on - year rise of 16 percent, according to the provincial statistics office.
The tourism sector welcomed 3.4 million visitors in the reviewed time, up 2.2 percent against the same period last year.
The figure included 225,000 foreign tourists, up by 2.6 percent, and 3.2 million domestic visitors, up by 26.2 percent.
The province's tourism sector has recently taken a number of measures to improve the quality of tourism services, such as: upgrading tourism infrastructure; providing new tourism products;and enhancing state management in tourism.
Besides, Ninh Binh has coordinated with neighbouring provinces to organize fam trips and press trips to survey potentials of local destinations in an attempt to boost the image of the province to domestic and foreign tourists.
